Using Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: Controlling Communication with the Internet document, is now available on TechNet, and provides information about the communication that flows between the features in Win7 and R2 and sites on Internet. It also describes steps to take to limit, control, or prevent that communication in an organization with many users. “This paper follows up on similar papers that were published for Windows Vista, Server 2008, XP, and Server 2003. Previous versions, discussed client and server versions of Windows separately, although most of the information and guidance pertained to both. This combines into a single document, information about Internet communication as it pertains to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2,” revealed Nick.
