Google 'Click-to-Call (Billing)' on mobile ads - AdWords Ads of a 'Girl in Thongs'

Google began allowing product image ads in AdWords, recently a search for [compucall logo] presented an AdWord image ad that was showing a woman in thong underwear. Google says “Images in ads are only classified as non-family safe when they’re found to contain adult content.” Google help page explains: “AdWords specialists review all of the ads that appear on Google and the Google Network. Ads are categorized as ‘Family Safe,’ ‘Non-Family Safe,’ or ‘Adult,’ depending on the content of the ad and website. Google doesn’t permit ads that’re classified as ‘Non-Family Safe’ or ‘Adult’ to appear for users who’ve activated their SafeSearch filter.”

In a releated news, Google sent out notification to AdWords advertisers stating “your location-specific business phone number will display alongside your destination url in ads that appear on high-end mobile devices. Users will be able to click-to-call your business just as easily as they click to visit your website. You’ll be charged for clicks to call, same as you are for clicks to visit your website.”
