Microsoft calling customer to “upgrade your Community Technology Preview accounts of Windows Azure platform (i.e., Windows Azure, SQL Azure and/or AppFabric) to paid commercial subscriptions. If you upgrade your CTP accounts during Jan 2010, all Windows Azure platform usage incurred during this month will be at no charge. You’ll also have full visibility during this month to your Azure platform usage. Billing and SLAs for all commercial accounts will begin on Feb 1st, 2010. If don’t upgrade, on Feb 1, 2010 CTP accounts will be disabled and any Azure Storage will be made read-only. SQL Azure CTP accounts will be able to keep using their existing databases but'll not be able to create new databases. Also, AppFabric namespaces will be disabled. On Mar 1, 2010, SQL Azure CTP accounts, and on Apr 1, 2010, Windows Azure Storage CTP accounts and AppFabric namespaces that’ve not been upgraded will be deleted. Its important to export your data if you don’t plan to upgrade to a commercial subscription prior to these dates,” announced Windows Azure blog.
