First download & install Media Center Launcher Configurator, and Media Center Studio . Next, run MCLC and populate fields as shown in the pic. (Right click MCLC icon and Run as Administrator). You can search Google for a suitable IE icon or use Silver IE icon. Once you’ve filled in, hit “register button”. Wait and then you should see a dialogue box. Because we selected Program Library under MC category your new IE icon will appear in Program Library / Extras area of MC. Now test the icon works correctly. To add IE icon to Extras menu strip, simply right click icon and select Add to start menu. To move IE icon on to a different MC start menu strip, use MC studio to place IE icon on desired strip. To remove IE icon select existing registrations tab in MCLC and select IE from drop down, then press “unregister button”. This method can also be used for applications like Hulu Desktop, to create an icon inside MC to launch Hulu Desktop and restore MC when you exit the Hulu application.
