Microsoft offering a hotfix, designed to correct daylight saving time (DST) for UNIX-related technologies, expecially for the following components: Windows Services for UNIX, and Utilities and software development kits (SDKs) for Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA) including: Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2003 R2, Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Vista, Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2008, Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows 7, and Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2008 R2. Hotfix incorporates a DST update for following time zones: “- N. Central Asia Standard Time - Almaty is moved from the N. Central Asia Standard Time time zone to the Central Asia Standard Time time zone - Central Brazil Standard Time - The DST start date and the DST end date are adjusted - South America Standard Time - The DST start date and the DST end date are adjusted, and more….,” Microsoft KB977615.
