No details have been officially confirmed about the tablet device as of yet, but with numerous rumors flying around, and inside sources confirming, it looks likely that we’ll see a 7" Apple tablet device in Jan 2010. Macrumors reports, that “Apple has acquired the domain “iSlate.com” in 2007, a possibly hint towards the name of Apple's new tablet. The domain information has since been changed to "Mark Monitor" a company that protects trademark domains from being taken.” TechCrunch dig deep into similar website domains, searching for the domain name
registrant records of islate.com, islate.jp (Japan), islate.cn (China), islate.info, islate.biz, islate.co.uk and many others, all registered to Mark Monitor. The evidence is overwhelming: if there’s going to be a new tablet from Apple coming out next month, chances’e that it’ll be christened iSlate. Whether the name "iSlate" will be used for the Apple tablet is still in doubt. However likely, Apple is always full of surprises and very good at preventing detailed information from being leaked.
