In response to Kristof's post suggesting that Bing search engine filters results for searches conducted outside of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) using Simplified Chinese characters for their query, Microsoft said it's "committed to comprehensive results" and did fix a bug in web search that addressed this issue. There’re “some queries that provide very balanced web results,” such as a search in Simplified Chinese for “June 4th Tiananmen.” In addition, investigations uncovered the fact that our image search isn’t functioning properly for queries entered using Simplified Chinese characters outside of the PRC. We’ve identified the bug and are at work on the fix. We expect to have this done before the Thanksgiving holiday,” Adam Sohn of Bing said.

And for holiday savings; Starting on Nov 27th, Bing cashback will be offering increased discounts at a select number of merchants. There’ll be some pretty attractive savings at retailers like Macy’s, Home Depot, Dell, and many more. Make sure to follow Bing cashback team on Twitter and Facebook for all latest details.
