At Google Australia headquarters in Sydney, about 300 Googlers in Pyrmont office lined the park next to office to welcome the Street View camera. The search giant's army of camera-equipped Holden Astra cars are preparing to traverse the country again from this week to take new, higher quality pictures of Australia's capital cities for the Google Maps feature.

Also, Google Earth added historical images of Berlin from 1945 and 1953. To view these new images, you'll need Google Earth 5.0. Historical imagery can be accessed by clicking on clock icon in top menu bar.
