Add Flip 3D to Windows 7 Taskbar
Flip 3D lets you cycle through your open windows using a Windows Key + TAB keyboard shortcut. The open windows’ thumbnails are now live updating, meaning if you’ve a video playing in one, it’ll continue to play in 3D interface. As you already know, Windows 7 taskbar lets you pin your frequently used applications; Since Flip 3D is essentially just an app, same can be done with it, too using following steps (Note: Flip 3D will only work if Aero is enabled):
Right-click on your desktop, select New, and then select Shortcut
- Assuming Windows 7 is installed on C: – In location field, type C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe dwmapi #105
- Click Next, and then type Window Switcher for shortcut name, then press Finish
- Right-click on Window Switcher shortcut that you just created and then click on Properties
- Click on Change Icon… button
- In Look for icons in this file field type %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\imageres.dll, and then press Enter
- Select first icon and then click on OK
- Click on OK to dismiss properties dialog
- Drag Window Switcher shortcut from your desktop onto taskbar
