Iomega launched three new digital media receivers in Europe:

ScreenPlay Director HD Media Player brings digital videos, photos and music to TV, and offers full 1080p HD playback (24fps) and up to 2TB storage. Supported video formats include: DIVX, H.264, WMV and MKV, and online contents: YouTube, Flickr, Shoutcast Internet radio, RSS feeds and podcasts. Three onboard USB 2.0, and ethernet port, allow you to attach other external storage devices. DLNA compliance enable compatibility with a wide range of devices including Windows 7, and Windows Home Servers running TwonkyMedia Server.

ScreenPlay Plus HD Media Player is available in 500GB and 1TB configurations for £119 and £129 respectively, and offers native 720p and 1080i HD playback and can support formats including MP3, AC3 (Dolby Digital Encoding), WAV, WMA, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 (AVI-VOB), MPEG-4 (AVI/DivX/XViD) and JPEG. Connection to TV is courtesy of a HDMI connection, and a USB port provided for connecting additional storage and peripherals.

ScreenPlay TV Link Director offers all of features of ScreenPlay Director HD Media Player (-minus) storage. The TV Link Director looks thin enough to tuck away neatly in your TV cabinet, and is likely to cost in the region of £99 when released.
