At Web 2.0, Microsoft announced the availability of “Bing Twitter search” beta (in US, for now). You can now search for what people’re saying all over the web about breaking news topics, your favorite celebrity, hometown sports team, and anything else you use Twitter to stay on top of today. If you want to keep an eye on a topic, just watch Tweets roll in. Or, click on “See more Tweets about…” for a page full of Tweets, there you can change ordering to “Best Match.” If someone has a lot of followers, his/her Tweet may get ranked higher. If a tweet’s exactly same as others, it’ll get ranked lower. You won’t see protected or deleted tweets, and tweets don’t last more than 7 days in our index. Instead of usual captions that’re used for links, Bing give you a “social caption” and show you what people’re saying about these links.
