Richard Jalichandra announced that Technorati Media is ranked as the fifth largest social media property by comScore, and also the re-launch of a wholly new Technorati.com at BlogWorld Expo. Technorati improved some of the existing features and added a couple new ways. Here’re some of changes:

  • Technorati Rankings now focusing much more on recent data within the last month and giving blogs an authority rank between 1 – 1,000
  • Technorati Authority now based on one months of blogosphere data
  • Search added more weight “relevancy” to deliver the most relevant results from authoritative sources while still acknowledging timeliness
  • Improved blog directory lets you view top blogs overall by Authority, AND top blogs by category by Authority.
