In honor of Blog Action Day 2009, Google walk us through some of the green features of their global headquarters in sunny Mountain View, California: “•Shuttle service outfitted with wi-fi and fueled by B20 biodiesel brings employees from around Bay Area to Googleplex •rooftops at headquarters are covered in 9,212 photovoltaic solar panels that produce 1.6 MW of electricity •campus building uses sustainable environmental friendly materials, such as "cradle-to-cradle", fresh air ventilation, daylighting, and whenever possible, PVC- and formaldehyde-free materials •Google use goats instead of lawn mowers to graze the fields •Google employees can use free of charge a fleet of 8 plug-in vehicles to run errands during the day”.
