Xobni plugin adds a social layer to Outlook inbox by integrating profile information about email contacts into an Outlook sidebar. This includes data pulled from LinkedIn, Facebook, Hoover’s, Skype, and Yahoo! Mail. Now, the latest version, lets you add Twitter and make you able to see the most recent tweets from the person who’s email you’re reading. The plugin acts as a mini Twitter client as well, allowing you to reply directly to users, tweet, retweet, follow/unfollow, and view Twitter profiles all from within the Xobni sidebar. Although you can manually enter in the Twitter name of the email contact you’re viewing, Xobni will attempt to locate the person’s Twitter account automatically. To do so, it performs a search for possible matches based on their name and you can choose the right one from the list provided.

Sorry but I don´t support such things, why do I have to see and know everything about the person who sent me an e-mail, normally I know the people, who are sending me e-mails or I am wrong? I think that is not really necessary! A search tool should one thing do, but good: search! Lookeen (www.lookeen.net) is one of these tools which does that, and furthermore very fast and accurate! It shows you your search results in a very clear way, it is simple and small, perfect for work!
