Google’ve completed third Google Summer of Code; Here's a quick list of 2009 projects:

-Growl Notifications, and Next Generation Sparkle Updates: is a implementation of a native popup notification for MacOS X version of SIP Communicator, that make use of Growl notification daemon through a new implementation of Java bindings of the Growl API.
-Hush-hush Chats with Off The Record (OTR) Messaging: extended SIP Communicator with Off The Record (OTR) message encryption. OTR provides encryption, authentication, deniability, and strong forward secrecy.
