Microsoft Bing search engine continued to grab U.S. Internet search market, in August it was up to 9.3 percent from 8.9 percent in July, according to a research note from JPMorgan. Microsoft launched Bing in early June, is No. 3 in the market. Google, although still far and away the search leader, saw its share in the United States decline 0.1 percentage points to 64.6 percent in August. No. 2 Yahoo! posted a market share of 19.3 percent in August, unchanged from July. ComScore said overall U.S. search market volume rose 15.5 percent from July and 19.2 percent from last year, reports.
