If you liked, Windows 7’s “Play To” feature, which allows you to select a music, video or video file in Windows Explorer and send it to a networked device elsewhere in your home. Then wait for the forthcoming, TwonkyBeam – a free software that lets you stream media directly from your browser to devices around your home. Send music, photos or video from popular Web sites, including Flickr, YouTube and LastFM, directly to your connected TV or stereo. TwonkyBeam is an easy to use browser plug-in that works with Internet Explorer, and allows you to right-click on media to beam it to a player including PV's own TwonkyMedia manager. Popular devices that are compatible with TwonkyBeam include Sony Bravia, SAMSUNG and Loewe HDTVs, as well as networked stereo receivers from Denon or Pioneer.
