At NASA's Ames Research Center, Vivek Kundra, CIO, US Federal Government, launched “Apps.gov,” a online storefront that makes it easy for federal agencies to browse and purchase cloud-based IT services from a variety of service providers, including Google. To help government to transition to cloud computing, and to compliance their requirements for IT systems, Google released: “FISMA certification for Google Apps, and Dedicated Google cloud for government customers in the US”.
