Samsung announced of launching an on-device smartphone app store in Europe on September 14. The app store will offer downloads to the Omnia and the I8910 HD. Samsung says support will be added on the Omnia II and OmniaLITE at a later date. "With the launch of Application Store, Samsung’ll increase mobile phone sales and add value for its mobile customers through the availability of carefully selected applications. But it won't be limited to smartphones," "The Application Store’ll expand service channel, not only on handheld devices but also on PCs with new PC software, that’ll allow customers to download applications and manage them on a PC to maximize service usability," said Hosoo Lee.
