Twitter is rolling out a new geolocation feature to make Twitter truly location-aware. Twitter’s new API will allow developers to add latitude and longitude to any tweet. It’ll be off by default and the exact location data won't be stored for an extended period of time, you’ll need to opt-in to sharing location on a tweet-by-tweet basis. It may come to you soon in some third-party apps, before it's available on Twitter's web site. As the developers’ll have access to this new geolocation feature early.
