Google Books is partnering with libraries around the globe, including institutions in Europe such as Bavarian State Library or the Bodleian Library at Oxford, to bring older books which’re out of copyright (so-called public domain works) online so that anyone can discover and read them. Also to help people find these books other than on books.google.com, Google is reaching out to libraries, technology partners, and several prestigious cultural institutions, such as the Spanish National Library and the Bibliotheque Nationale de France, in order to help as many readers as possible around the world search and read public domain books. Sony ntly announced that over a million public domain, digitized would be available on the Sony Reader.
