If you’re not using Internet Explore 8; just read this post as a valid reason to switch over to IE8 atleast for your secured transactions related working. A blogger reports of receiving a phisihing email on which Gmail filters failed. This mailer did look exactly like an alert from his bank, which needed an urgent attention. So he clicks on the link provided in the mail link:  https://infinity.icicibank.co.in/BANKAWAY?Action.RetUser.Init.001=Y&AppSignonBankId=ICI&AppType=corporate&abrdPrf=N – when clicked that actually takes you this link: http://www.french-eng.co.uk/tmp/cache/indexx.html

I’ve tested the above link in Firefox 3.5, Opera 10.x Beta 3, both failed to block the site, and opened the page instead. I had then opened the link in IE8, which intelligently blocked the site with a warning ‘This Website has been reported as unsafe’ and recommended not to continue to this web site.
