Google tops July U.S. Search Share Rankings; followed by Yahoo! & Bing, Nielsen
Nielsen reported July 2009 data for the top U.S. search engine providers. Searches represent the total number of queries conducted at the provider. Example: An estimated 6.6 billion search queries were conducted at Google Search, representing 66.1 percent of all search queries conducted during the given time period. Microsoft's Bing U.S. search share at 9 percent in July, up eight percent on a month-to-month basis though still way off the market dominance of Google, while Yahoo's search share came in at 17.1 percent.
