App-V 4.6 allow you to keep all of your existing sequencing investments and be able to leverage 64-bit moving forward, in a simple and straight forward manner. With that in mind, the following’re some general guidelines about what’s supported:

-Existing packages: All pre-4.6 packages’re valid and can continue to be used on the 4.6 client – just modify the OSD file to include the OS values for the 32 and/or 64-bit platform as target, as appropriate.
-For new 32-bit applications to be run on the 4.6 client: Sequence 32-bit app on a 32-bit OS using the 4.6 sequencer. Specify x86 and x64 platforms as targets as appropriate for clients.
-For new 64-bit applications to be run on the 4.6 client: Sequence the 64-bit app on a 64-bit OS using the 4.6. sequencer. Specify x64 as the target platform.
