Google’ve added icons and labels of prominent businesses and places of interest directly on the Google Map itself. Clicking the icons get you a summary of what this place’s about and explore more by choosing more info to see business info, reviews, photos, Wikipedia articles, and a lot of other local information. This enables users to discover businesses, attractions and other points of interest on the map at a neighborhood level, without using the search box. The data’re also in the mobile version of Google Maps.
