Live Messenger Web Toolkit is not only available to developers using Microsoft web platform ASP.NET. But it’s entirely client-side based using JavaScript and HTTP endpoints, that run on any platform, web server, with any scripting language. The WT JavaScript was created using Script# which allows you to code in C# and then compile down to JS. For PHP developers, Microsfot released a couple of apps to allow you to put Messenger in your web apps. This means if you code in PHP, Ruby, Perl etc. you can use LMW to light up your apps and create cool new social scenarios for people that visit your website.
