Microsoft will ship SCVMM 2008 R2, after the Windows Server 2008 release is locked, (which is now only a couple of weeks away), the test team will run through a full test pass with SCVMM 2008 R2 to caught any late breaking issues. The SCVMM already have plenty of customers in full production on Windows Server 2008 R2 + SCVMM 2008 R2, so this won’t happen but as Reagan once said "trust but verify".
