Good news, for all who uses Firefox 3.5, and missed Gear, Google has released a new version of its Google Gears plug-in to support the browser. Users of Mac OS X and Windows can click the "install" button at Google's Gears Web site. The new version is spreading to Mozilla's add-on site, too. Gears lets you access some web applications in a browser even when you're offline. For example, you can download your reading list from Google Reader to read on a plane, or use Gmail to read and write email messages while you're offline.
