According to Nielsen, Apple's Web site saw 55.7 million unique visitors in May, probably because of the release of the iPhone 3GS. The next closest, Hewlett Packard, had 21.3 million uniques. In fact, Apple had nearly as many unique hits in May 2009 than all hardware manufactures, including Apple, had in May 2008 (57.3 million). This year, 70.1 million unique users visited all hardware manufacturers' Web sites in May, Nielsen reports.
