Via KB969991, Microsoft offering a hotfix to make SCCM 2007 RTM play nice with Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2. “You’ve a computer running Vista SP2 or in Windows Server 2008 SP2. When you try to capture an image, the image capture process of ConfigMgr 2007 RTM and SP1 fails during the Prepare Windows for Capture stage. Additionally, the following error message is logged in the Smsts log: The sysprep is not supported on this OS,” Microsoft informed. KB970093 is a similar hotfix, but this time around for ConfigMgr SP1.
