Apple announced a new feature called ‘Find my iPhone’ for iPhone user to help them find their lost phone. Availible to Apple's 'Mobileme' customers, shows your phone location on a map. You can also message your phone to see fi it has been left on silent, or you lost it completely. A message can also be sent to the phone which alerts the finder to call a specified number in order to return to its owner. An important feature is the ability to “sent instruction to the phone to wipe of all the data,” which can be restored through iTunes — just plug it into iTunes and it will restore from backup.
