Bing Maps got a 248,000+ sq. kilometers new imagery update that comes with a shiny, new toy to play with. Check out the new Bing Maps World Tour is built using the Bing Maps Silverlight Control (currently in CTP) to take advantage of the robust rendering capabilities within, and is hosted on Windows Azure. Bing Maps World Tour is a rich new way of viewing imagery updates every month by navigating the respective pins or just watching the slide show take you around the world to explore the new imagery. Here’s a quick list of features in the new application: Silverlight Interface, Custom Icons, Tabbed Menu, Release Highlights and Info, Map Options, Slideshow controls, Filter Release Data, Zoom to World Map, Share Map, Show Fullscreen, Map Style, Map Help, Slide Show, Explore!, Navigation Bar, and Inset Map.
