Beginning June 26, 2009, Microsoft will offer a free copy of Windows 7 (download) under its ‘Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program’ to buyers of new PCs running Vista, and in some cases XP. The promotion will through until sometime in January 2010, of a ‘comparable’ version of Windows 7 with match to Windows Vista Home

Google launched a new “OpenSocial App Directory,” a centralized location for developers and containers to submit, review, and share OpenSocial applications. Initially, only live applications that support OpenSocial, like MySpace, orkut, and hi5 are included, but Google plans to include approved apps from more containers, as well as allow developers to submit their own apps.

If you’re facing problems, when creating a new user with the Add a New User Account wizard from the SBS Console does not create the respective Exchange 2007 mailbox. In these cases the AddUser.log (C:\Program Files\Windows Small Business Server\Logs) indicated that the default Mailbox Database was not found.

Yahoo! Search, is now offering sports team shortcut for sports releated queries that displays “real time score, last game’s score, date and time of next game, as well as quick links to team’s page, news, scores, schedules, stats, and photos.” The sports team shortcut covers the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, French Open, and college sports leagues including the NCAAF and NCAAB.
