MSDN article on developing widgets for Windows Mobile 6.5
Recently MSDN posted & pulled back an article titled “Developing Widgets for Windows Mobile 6.5” to get you a quick sneak peek “Windows Mobile widgets typically are single-purpose applications to display data obtained from the Internet. They are written using JavaScript and bring the wealth of experience of Web developers to the Windows Mobile platform. Since widgets are installed and run locally on the mobile device, they provide ease of use and a better Internet user experience than conventional Web applications.[…] […]widgets are packaged into ZIP files with the file extension “.widget” and can be deployed from both the Windows Marketplace for Mobile and a local computer.
