Google as part of a new initiative called Toolbar Labs has launched:

Google Toolbar with My Location that uses information about surrounding Wi-Fi access points to estimate your location. Naturally, this means it won't work if you're on a computer that doesn't have Wi-Fi (or has Wi-Fi turned off). You can just do a search like [thai food], and you will receive a list of nearby restaurants and more local Google search results. And is available only for Internet Explorer and works only within the US.

Google Simplified Chinese Toolbar is developed to target Chinese users, and it comes with an updated user interface to use the space more effectively, users will be able to translate pages with a single click and manage bookmarks with a new sidebar. This toolbar is only available in Simplified Chinese.
