The City of Seattle added another Microsoft Virtual Earth application to their site – The Traveler’s Information Map that shows lots of useful traveler information: traffic flow, real-time web camera pictures and incident information such as car accidents, disabled vehicles or events that would cause some form of backup.

ESRI announced a new agreement with Microsoft that gives ArcGIS users fast access to Microsoft Virtual Earth for their geographic information system (GIS) projects. As part of ArcGIS Online at the ArcGIS 9.3.1 release, ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Server users will be able to connect directly to Virtual Earth and quickly start their GIS projects with ready-to-use content.

Finally, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, both owned by Yum! Brands, have launched their new locator’s leveraging Microsoft Virtual Earth.
