This post discuss about Internet Explorer 8 RC1’s HTTP authentication support for feeds and Web Slices.  And cookie/forms based authentication that is persisted‘just works’.  There are multiple ways for publishers to implement authenticated Web Slices and feeds.  The 4 options will be discussing are: Persistent login cookies (“remember me”); Web Slice specific auth cookie; Unique subscription URLs; HTTP Authentication
