Microsoft's Hyper-V is only six months old, yet the company is already preparing its customers for a better, more powerful version of the virtualization feature it bundles with its Windows Server 2008 operating system. Hyper-V 2.0 (not an official name) will be offered as part of Windows Server 2008 R2 (download), which was announced at Microsoft's Professional Developers Conference (PDC) in October and is expected some time this year.
