BlackBerry has finally abandoned the temporary “BlackBerry Application Center” and finalized the “BlackBerry App World” as the name for selling mobile apps.

“Find tons of great applications designed for your BlackBerry smartphone in one convenient place - BlackBerry App World. Sign up for BlackBerry App World today and discover how to put more of your life on your BlackBerry smartphone,” is the message on the homepage.

The BlackBerry Developers page will be update soon. At the same time, RIM will be opening up a notification sign up list at www.blackberry.com/appworld.
