People have been waiting for the paid Android apps market for months and it’s finally launched; the Android Market will initially accept priced applications; only from US and UK developers via publisher’s website. The end user will get priced apps, starting mid next week in the US.

Developers in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, France, and Spain will also be added to priced applications by the end of Q1 2009.

Google Checkout will serve as the payment and billing mechanism for Android Market.
