Yahoo! has announced new features to their Build Your Own Search Service (BOSS) platform as well as usage fees. They will now begin charging developers, the charges kick in only once queries exceed 10,000 BOSS API calls per day. The pricing will go into effect next quarter.

• Yahoo! is releasing SearchMonkey structured data through the BOSS API.
• Long Abstracts are also made available to BOSS developers.
• changed terms of service to allow developers to use third party monetization platforms (ad-based or otherwise)
• Webmaster can query Site Explorer link data through the BOSS API services called se_inlink and se_pagedata.
