Pingdom in an email writes: “We have monitored the load time performance (download speed) of the Google Analytics scripts (both ga.js and urchin.js) from Google’s servers, and have found a very interesting performance pattern, especially in Europe. The Google Analytics scripts load 27% slower at peak hours in North America, and 97% slower at peak hours in Europe (i.e. from European locations).”
