FreedomVOICE have announced that their Blackberry beta is still accepting applicants. The call-switching service can be used as a unique answer to femtocell and UMA, as calls can automatically be switched to another line in areas of poor reception, or can be used in enterprise settings for gathering phone usage statistics. It's a perfect fit for the enterprise superstar BlackBerry.

FreedomVOICE opened the beta of its Newber iPhone application, in September 2008, but its site is still titled "Awaiting App Store Approval." The app adds a virtual second line and the ability to manage calls and route them through PBX, landline, or even other cellular handsets.
