Announced at CES 2009, the new SDXC cards provide up to 2 TB of storage and have write speeds from 104 MB to 300 MB per second. To do this, the new card utilizes NAND flash memory. Because of this, the new cards are said to be able to hold 100 HD movies, 60 hours of HD recording, and 17,000 “fine grade” photos. When used with your phone, it can be turned into your own media center for the most part.
