Dell India launches Intel iCore 7-based 'Studio XPS Desktop PC '

Intel’s new Core i7 CPU already debuted in U.S., and all the leading compaines have launched iCore 7 based PCs. However, in India, Dell has become the first by launching iCore 7–based desktop PC dubbed “Studio XPS Desktop”. The Studio XPS has base price of Rs 84,900 (excluding tax and delivery), which comes with a Core i7 920 2.66, Intel x38 chipset, 500 GB SATA HDD, ATI Radeon 4850, 24” LCD, wireless keybaord and mouse, and can be customized on Dell India website for additional hardware peripherals. Where as the Dell U.S. is selling the PC with almost same config for $959.

Gateway’s FX 6800-01e is also impressive, coming in at $1,249 for a Core i7 920 in a PC that can accommodate two 3D cards. On the higher-end of the spectrum, the $8,028 Falcon Northwest, $2,499 Velocity Micro PC’s, and the Maingear has a Core i7-based Ephex on offer as well, starting at about $3,850.
