A Satya Nadella’s keynote speech at PubCon, revealed that Live Search cashback “has seen positive traction in all three of the key metrics on which the company said it would report: number of offers in the system, advertiser return on investment (ROI), and percentage of commercial search queries as measured by comScore Inc.”.  Microsoft is also announcing a new set of advertisers joining the cashback program, including AT&T, Drugstore, Inc., FTD, Gap, Inc, KMart, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Microsoft is trying to build loyalty among customers and advertisers. It says Live Search is getting a strong response from advertisers, with 30% growth in Cashback offers to customers from 20 of the top 50 online retailers in the U.S., including Gap and Saks Fifth Avenue. EBay has increased its search marketing spend with Microsoft threefold, Microsoft said.
