Google on Tuesday posted a Veterans Day logo showing hats representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, but forgot the U.S. Coast Guard “[…]we weren't trying to represent all of the branches or all of the symbols of military service and, as a result of space and design limitations, we inadvertently left the U.S. Coast Guard out of our depiction.”

To their credit, Google quickly posted a mea culpa and added a Coast Guard hat to their logo. It now sits atop the L. In the old version, the L had no hat.
