If  you’v 594 e been attempting to install Windows Home Server from your Microsoft Action Pack subscription, you’ve probably discovered that the Product ID Key doesn’t work.

Microsoft’s Eric Ligman has posted a solution on the SMB Community blog:

We have identified an issue in the October Action Pack shipment regarding the included Windows Home Server software with the PID key not working properly with the software. To ensure you are able to use the included Windows Home Server software right away, you can receive an updated PID to use by contacting your country’s Regional Service Center directly. In addition, we will be including updated PID cards for the Windows Home Server software in the January Microsoft Action Pack kit as well.[…]
