In the majority of the benchmarks run, the new Core i7 processors outperformed the fastest Core 2 Extreme, the 3.2GHz QX9770. Clock for clock, the Core i7 is markedly faster than the Core 2. HotHardware had tested every Intel Core i7 processors, formerly codenamed Nehalem speed grade that’ll be available at launch, along with at trio of X58 Express chipset based motherboard and thrown in some high-resolution multi-GPU SLI and CrossFireX testing for good measure as well.
