Larry Osterman discuss his experiences working on building Windows 7 to contrast building Windows Vista. The experience of building Windows 7 is dramatically different from the experience of building Vista. The rough outlines of the product development process haven’t changed, but organizationally, the Windows 7 process is dramatically better.
